Choose by time, altitude and effort: from a walk among the extinct craters to the summit where the volcano breathes.
All our treks start on Etna’s south side, from the Rifugio Sapienza square at 1,900 metres, led by guides who have known the volcano all their lives: not just walking, but storytelling — eruptions, lava flows, craters and the history of a landscape that changes year after year.
Difficulty ranges from an easy walk for families and first-timers to a high-altitude trek that calls for trained legs: each route card lists duration, altitude and effort level. Not sure which one to pick? Write to us and we’ll recommend the right one for your group and the season.
