Two adventures, one volcano.
EtnaQuadSud is your base for experiencing South Etna up close: two guided tours departing from La Baita 3L Ski-Lab, at Piazzale Rifugio Sapienza (Nicolosi). In the saddle of a quad among lava flows and extinct craters, or on foot up to the active summit craters at 3,300 metres — you choose how high to go.
The quad adventure is off-road for everyone: automatic, easy-to-ride machines through broom bushes, pine woods and expanses of black lava, as far as a lava flow cave. 1 h 45 of adrenaline, with helmet, insurance and certified guide always included.
The summit craters trek is the highest experience on the volcano: you climb to 3,300 metres, on the rim of the active craters, among fumaroles, volcanic sands and views reaching the sea. With a volcanological guide, for those who want to watch Etna breathe up close.

Do I need experience to ride a quad?
No. Before setting off we run a practical briefing and the guide stays with the group throughout. The tour is suitable for beginners too.
Is the price per person or per quad?
The price is per quad. Each two-seater Anther A500 carries up to two people: rider and passenger.
Do I need a driving licence? What is the minimum age?
A category B driving licence is required to ride: minimum age 18 for the rider and 5 for the passenger. Pregnant women and people with certain medical conditions cannot take part (a waiver is signed).
