1. Organiser
The experiences are organised by La Baita 3L Ski Lab di Longo Giuseppe e Bruno Alfio Antonino & C. S.n.c., registered office at Via Giuseppe De Felice 7, 95052 Nicolosi (CT), Italia — VAT no. IT02920070873, tax code 02920070873, REA CT-196466, certified email labaita3l@pec.it, email info@etnasudquad.it.
2. The service
The experiences consist of guided quad bike excursions on the trails of the southern slope of Mount Etna, optionally combined with tastings of local produce, and of accompanied trekking excursions. Every experience always takes place in the presence of a guide and includes an initial safety briefing on the use of the vehicle. The durations shown on the website include briefing and preparation time.
3. Participation requirements
- To drive a quad bike you must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driving licence, which must be shown at the meeting point.
- Passengers must be at least 5 years old; minors may take part only as passengers, accompanied by a responsible adult who authorises their participation.
- Participants must be in good general physical and mental condition, must not have consumed alcohol or substances that impair the ability to drive, and must not have health conditions incompatible with the activity.
- Wearing the helmet provided by the organiser is mandatory, as is following the guide's instructions at all times.
- The organiser reserves the right to exclude from participation, with no right to a refund, anyone who does not meet the above requirements or who behaves in a manner dangerous to themselves or others.
4. Bookings
Bookings can be made online on the website, by telephone, via WhatsApp or through authorised travel intermediation platforms. When booking online, your place is held temporarily for the time needed to complete payment; if payment is not completed within that time, the availability is released for sale again.
A booking is confirmed only once the required payment has been received and the organiser has sent the relevant confirmation. Availability is limited by the number of vehicles and guides available for each time slot.
5. Prices and payments
Prices shown on the website are in euro and include VAT, unless otherwise stated. We accept payment by credit or debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, bank transfer and gift voucher.
For online bookings a deposit is payable at the time of booking; the balance is paid on site before the activity begins, unless full advance payment has been chosen. If you pay by bank transfer, the booking remains valid for the period indicated in the instructions email: if the funds are not credited within that period, the booking lapses.
6. Changes and cancellations by the customer
Requests to change the date or time are accepted subject to availability and must be communicated as soon as possible using the organiser's contact details.
Cancellation is free of charge up to the deadline indicated at the time of booking (as a rule seven days before the date of the experience): in that case the amounts paid are refunded or, at the customer's choice, converted into a voucher of equal value. For cancellations after that deadline, and in the event of failure to appear at the meeting point, the deposit paid is non-refundable.
Arriving late for the meeting time may result in a shorter experience or, if incompatible with the day's schedule, in the inability to take part with no right to a refund.
7. Cancellations by the organiser and adverse weather
The activity takes place in a mountain and volcanic environment. For safety reasons the organiser may cancel or reschedule the experience in the event of adverse weather, volcanic activity, orders of the competent authorities, trail closures or other events beyond its control. In such cases the customer is offered, at their choice, rescheduling to a new date, a voucher of equal value or a full refund of the amounts paid. Any further claim for damages is excluded.
8. Gift vouchers
Gift vouchers purchased on the website are valid for the period indicated at the time of purchase and shown on the voucher itself. They can be used for the available experiences, subject to booking and availability, up to their value; any difference is payable at the time of booking or on site. Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash and no change is given.
9. Insurance and liability
The organiser holds third-party liability insurance covering the activity. Before departure, participants sign a waiver confirming that they have read the safety rules and are fit to take part.
Customers are liable for damage caused to vehicles and equipment through wilful misconduct, gross negligence, improper use or failure to follow the guide's instructions. The organiser is not liable for damage arising from participants' conduct contrary to the instructions received or to these terms, nor for the loss of or damage to personal belongings.
10. Right of withdrawal
Pursuant to Article 59(1)(n) of the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005), the fourteen-day right of withdrawal provided for distance contracts does not apply to contracts for leisure services to be provided on a specific date or during a specific period. The cancellation terms set out in Article 6 remain applicable.
11. Photographs and filming
Photographs and video footage may be taken during the excursions to document and promote the activity. Images in which participants are recognisable are published only with their consent, which may be withdrawn at any time by writing to info@etnasudquad.it.
12. Complaints
Any complaint should be raised promptly on site with the guide, so that an immediate solution can be found, and in any case submitted in writing to the organiser within ten days of the date of the experience, to info@etnasudquad.it or to the certified email address labaita3l@pec.it.
13. Personal data
Customers' personal data are processed as described in the Privacy Policy published on this website.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Italian law. For disputes with customers who qualify as consumers, the courts of the consumer's place of residence or elected domicile have jurisdiction; in all other cases the courts of Catania have exclusive jurisdiction. The possibility of using alternative dispute resolution procedures and the European online dispute resolution platform remains unaffected.
15. Changes to these terms
The organiser reserves the right to update these terms. Bookings already confirmed are governed by the terms in force at the time of confirmation.
